REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
63 South Mini Storage Effective Date: March 2026
At 63 South Mini Storage, we aim to provide a fair and transparent billing process. Please review our policies regarding move-ins, move-outs, and fees.
1. RENTAL PAYMENTS & PRORATION
- Move-In Proration: We offer prorated rent for new tenants moving in after the 1st of the month. This ensures you only pay for the portion of the month you are actually using at the start of your lease.
- Move-Out Policy: We do not prorate rent upon move-out. No refunds or credits are issued for unused portions of the final month’s rental period, even if you vacate the unit mid-month.
- All Sales Final: Once a rental period has begun (the 1st of the month), that month’s rent is considered final and non-refundable.
2. FEES & MERCHANDISE
- Administrative Fees: A one-time administrative fee is required at the time of lease signing. This fee is non-refundable.
- Lock Sales: For the security of our tenants, all sales of unit locks are final. We do not accept returns or offer refunds on locks once purchased.
3. CANCELLATION & MOVE-OUT PROCESS
To stop future billing and officially close your account:
- Notice: Provide notice of your intent to vacate via the tenant portal or email.
- Vacate & Clean: Remove all items and debris from the unit.
- Lock Removal: You must remove your lock by the last day of the month. If the lock remains on the unit on the 1st of the following month, the unit is considered occupied, and rent will be charged for that month.
4. CHARGE ERRORS
If you believe your account has been charged incorrectly, please notify us. After verifying the discrepancy, we will process a refund to the original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to reflect on your statement.
